By applying detailed knowledge of food interactions, chronic diseases and weight management, a dietitian provides expert advice to help reduce stress-based eating concerns, food intolerances, blood pressure and cholesterol management. What to expect?
Please ensure you have filled out the nutrition intake form found online previous to your appointment. It is important for us to know in advance why you are coming in and what specific issues you are looking to address.
Initial consults are 1 hour consisting of a full nutrition assessment, focusing on nutrition-related goals and provide dietary advice. Handouts, resources and references are provided as part of the consult.
After your first visit our dietitian will create a personalized plan for you. A follow up visit (1hr or 1/2 hr) is usually recommended so they can go over their findings,.
On this second visit you will have a chance to review information/education, discuss questions/concerns you had from the first appointment, and/or any issues you have come across implementing the initial plan. If needed a third visit can be arranged to check in, make sure you are on track and make any adjustments that may be needed.
Every nutrition consult is different depending on the goals of the individual as every individual is looked as a whole. A nutrition consult with Victory Health and Wellness’s dietitian will provide sound nutrition advice specific to the individual needs in a supportive, non-judgmental environment.
